My parents were very disciplined in doing my treatments. It became like, "this is what I gotta do, like brushing my teeth". I think that built a great FOUNDATION, but then I built the house so to speak. I do all my treatments all the time and then some. Yes I am not perfect all the time but...
I have tried Juice Plus myself and I did not notice anything while I was on it and I did not notice anything when I went off of it. I do eat well balanced. I do not know what to really think of it. My cousin who is a doctor and sells Juice plus just swears by it! So who knows!!! But I can not...

The main reason I liked my own room in college was becaue then I could control when I went to bed, could get some sleep and most importantly I did not have to be around a sick roomate is she caught a cold or something. I did not feel isolated at all!!! I had all my friends I met in the dorm...
The pillow idea always works well for me. Hold it tight and low to your stomach when you cough!!!
Feel better!!!!

I am so sorry you have to live in a environment that does not support you and motivate you!!! Please think good thought! Keep yourself healthy, embrace your disease and share what CF is with people so they could try to understand. I think people make fun of others cause they are scared...
Yes I did go to college a long time ago. But thought I would share some of the things I did and requested to keep myself healthy. First off, I did request a single room in the dorms since that is where you had to live as a freshman. Due to CF I was able to get a singel room and it was great...
Also, make sure you have certificates of creditable coverage in case you need them for any pre-x waiting periods. I think you mentioned there was none so if that is the case great.
Otherwise you would have to show 12 month of insurance coverage with no breaks to over rule the pre-X clause. I...
I ALWAYS pick PPO's because you then have an out of network benefit. In case your docs or hospitals drop out of the network you then can still go to them and get coverage but it would be out of network coverage which has higher deductibles etc but at least it pays something. I NEVER pick HMO's...

That was such a nice comment!!! You always think good thoughts and do not get caught up in statistics and life expectancy. I never have and I just keep doing all that I can to make myself as healthy as possible so when I do get sick I can rebound!!!!!! Keep your chin up, live life to...
Yes you can be working part time. They have a definition as substantial gainful activity and as long as your are not doing that ( which is typically making over $860 a month) then your are okay. Go to the SSA.Gov website and that will answer a ton of questions for you.

Somebody posted this topic before and there is this website called www.desertmedicalessentials.com. They have this picc line cover for your arm for the shower. Looks and sounds great to me and I was thinking of getting it myself! I have used plastic bags tied up with tape or hair bands or rubber...
Melissa:
How did you get your insurance to cover it? I was told the drug does not have some kind of NDC code or something like that and therefore can not be covered.
I would love to have it covered so any tips and info would be great!
