My daughter started on Prevacid (she was seven at the time) and she also threw up each and every time. Her doctor immediately switched her over to Prilosec and she has no issue with that whatsoever -- she's been taking that for over two years now.

My daughter was tested for CF when she was 7.5 (two years ago.) Her sweat tests were both in the borderline range, somewhere in the high 40's, low 50's... Then we did the 72 hour fecal fat test and found she has severe pancreatic insufficiency. The Ambry test came back a few weeks later and she...

My husband travels constantly, generally three weeks at a time eight times a year. He is in different time zones, travels to 10 countries in 20 days, has to eat weird foods... It is extremely demanding, so in general, I got very little sympathy when "all I had to do" was deal with two young...

I think every time I've ever posted a message, it had to do with my daughter's inability to increase her weight. And 10 days ago, we finally got an answer to why. She has something called Fructose Malabsorption. I've been pulling things out of her diet for years because I was convinced that it...

Just one tiny word of caution...
Pulmicort and flovent are both corticosteroids and could bring on the same symptoms. My daughter started with Advair, switched to Flovent, and then Pulmicort. She couldn't handle any of them. Advair was a lot of hyperactivity, sleeplessness and mood swings...
