One thing I was told is that the Incourage vest doesn't apply pressure to the chest since it was discovered that the effectiveness of treatment has to do with the pulsating/vibrating rather than applying pressure to the chest. Just thought I'd share that.</end quote></div>

So it doesnt inflate? I find that very interesting if that is what you mean by no pressure! If this is what you mean I wouldnt like that. One of the reasons I am compliant with my Hill Rom is that the pressure makes my back feel good.

Interesting....

Hello.

I notice many are posting what happens when using the vest. My vest does seem very tight when I'm doing it... I mean, not "can't breathe" tight, but it has very little give when its pulsating. Its when its NOT pulsating, but is on that I find I can push the front air all to the back and vice versa. I also can push on the front AND back at the same time and nearly flatten it completely! (Again, ONLY when its NOT pulsating but is inflated.) This is new to me cause it used to have no give even when inflated and not pulsating. So, does everyone's have this "give" when they push on it when NOT actually doing the treatment?

Thanks to those who have responded with your experiences! I appreciate it!

And, I did have them ship me yet another vest today overnighted, so I'll get it tomorrow and keep ya'll posted. It would be VERY strange to have been the generator, so if this new vest feels the same tomorrow they MUST be working alright, cause what are the odds I'd get 3 leaky vests, 3 sets of leaky tubing, and two crappy generators?!?! LOL

Okay, I checked before turning it on -- it did inflate and I was able to push on it (squish it - like you described) before hitting start. But, once I started it up, it didn't move. Guess I never noticed it before...
