HillRom vest-do you have to unplug after each use?

Add me to the list of not reading the instructions. I had someone come out and show me how to use my original vest and they never said anything about that. I never unplugged mine unless I am taking it somewhere. It stays plugged in at all times...during sunny days, storms, power outages, hurricanes, etc. I have never had a problem with it *knock on wood*. I do not have it plugged into a surge protector, but I have thought about doing that.

DS's devilbiss compressor says the same thing. We have a surge protector and I just turn it off if we take it elsewhere -- so nobody accidentally turns them on at the hotel, lake home... Never thought about it before. No we know...
