I have gained weight and I think it's b/c of the oral gsh. It's all happened within the same time frame I beleive. I am still under what my weight chart (is that my bmi?) says I should be, but I weight more then I've ever weighed before and keeping it on. I have another question. Is acetylcysteine the same as N-acetylcysteine.? I think so , but i am not sure. I´m from spain and here we only have acetylcysteine, which you have to get with a prescription and comes in fizzy tablets of 600. (flumil 600). I think acetylcysteine(acetilcisteina), is the spanish name for n-acetylcysteine, but I am not sure. Here is used as a mucolytic and also for paracetamol intoxication.

Originally they were planning for a late Fall 2009, but after speaking with a doc yesterday, he believes it will not be available until late 2010 due to the fact the trial is having a hard time filling up here in the US. Many people do not know about it and/or are not comfortable being involved in a trial. Also, many of the healthiest needed to participate are young and some parents are afraid of the thought or do not want to subject their children to the rigors of a clinical trial....which is totally understandable. At any rate, the trial is lagging and the cut off is very specific..fev1 above 75%, no bad bugs (only pseudo and possibly MRSA) and willing to take the inhaled drug 3 times a day.

Originally they were planning for a late Fall 2009, but after speaking with a doc yesterday, he believes it will not be available until late 2010 due to the fact the trial is having a hard time filling up here in the US. Many people do not know about it and/or are not comfortable being involved in a trial. Also, many of the healthiest needed to participate are young and some parents are afraid of the thought or do not want to subject their children to the rigors of a clinical trial....which is totally understandable.
