The vest, no, not through the government, but private insurance through work etc might.

Same with hypertonic saline, and i think the provincial insurance, Trillium, covers it.

The stuff i mentioned above is provided as long as you have a health card and have cf.

I'm glad that you guys all have insurance. I think some of us that have private insurance don't want to be forced to have the government making decisions on our healthcare, should Obamacare pass.

Evidently the Canadian Premier must agree with this premise:

I have no problem with the government providing assistance to low/mid income families to get private insurance.

I have private insurance through my husbands work (and I must add that we are middle class, not rich, and not dirt poor). I too was hospitalized/home IVs for almost 3 weeks last month and I paid nothing. Nothing for the home nurse, nothing for the abx, nothing. I do not pay for any abx, hospital visits, doctor visits, ensures or boosts. For what is left over, my state has a governement program called BCMH that covers the rest. They cover my Tobi, Pulmo, Vest, etc. At the state level, government assistance can work.

I would fall under the category of someone who has private insurance and does not want the government interfering with my healthcare.

Currently, the US government can't even run Medicare- it is rife with fraud. My argument would be that our government can't even GIVE money away effectively...just look at cash for clunkers, wall street bailout, etc.
