I have stenotrophomonas maltophilia, i have had it for the last 5 years that i know of. I always get it treated quite vigorously as it is resistant to lots of antibiotics.Take care Rose Marie
Thanks Mary and Rose Marie,I know that Bactrim is the "usual" antibiotic susceptible to steno. Have either of you had any complications/decrease in lung function due to the steno? Thanks, jleigh
The main thing that makes this culture is if you have reflux, i have horrible uncontrolable reflux and have for about 10 years or more now. I don't get it treated when i am at home, probably because i am in the hospital more than i am at home anyways, but so long as your reflux is not under control then you won't beat it.
