I have not taken Paxil before but a few family members and friends have and it seems to work really well for some and not that well for others. The ones it works well for it is amazing though. I say give it a try and ya never know it may be the right med for you.

thanks, everyone! will i be able to tell if its the med that's "drying me out?"... i just hope i can tell. were you not able to cough anything out? or how could you tell? i looked up side effects and dry mouth was pretty rare, so would that mean drying out lungs would go along with that? unfortunatley, they don't have any literature on drying out lungs or lung-related issues with paxil. maybe cause its rare? who knows.... i do know its different with everyone though so i will think positive. i just hope i'd know if its bad on my lungs, ya know?

I can hardly cough at all (even with huffing!) and when I do its completely dry and feels like I just had a cleanout! (I must say, I actually FEEL pretty darn good not feeling congested as usual, but I know this isn't good for my body)... So, I'm going to stop taking it and call the doc tomorrow and ask for something else. My throat and nose are also extremely dry... Could that be from only 2 doses of Paxil CR too???
