Calling it quits!

Hi Everyone,

I know that there is already a post about birth control, but I don't experience bleeds so I wanted to post my question.

My husband and I are calling it quits after 3 years of trying to conceive with no success. It seems that my only problem was my abnormal cervical mucus. IUI would surely work; however, Jake won't hear of it. It's affordable. He just won't do it!

I don't want my marriage to suffer anymore than it already has so I'm closing the door. I don't want to do anything permanent in case we change our minds in the future. Also, it must help prevent ovarian cysts.

I have thought about just letting things go, but my cysts do get rather large, nearly needing surgery. I get so tired of the pain at times. Plus, I have such heavy and long periods. They are such a pain in the butt.

Any thoughts??? My appointment is this coming Tuesday. Thank you! <img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0">

I currently use the Nuva Ring.
It works well and I think out of all the ones I have tried (the pill, and patch) I like the ring the most.
It very simple to use and to keep track of. You change the ring every three weeks if you wat to skip your periods or every four weeks if you want to have a period.
I dont know about the affectiveness on the cysts though. I dont have cysts therefore I am not knowledgable about it.

If you have any questions please pm me. Dont be shy I am an open book! LOL

I use the patch (ortho evra) and I really like it. It helped shrink my cyst as well. I considered the ring but a friend of mine who used it said that it could slip out rather easily. Whatever you do make sure its a combination of estrogen and progesterone. Progesterone only birth control (like depo pervera) can cause bone loss and CFer have enough trouble with that already.

Just to let ya know i have used the ring for a few years now and have never had it slip out at all, not even close.

I know everyone is diff but, in me, it actually sits in between the cervix and the pelvic bone and is pretty well in there unless you want to take it out.

Oh and also my hubby has never felt it either so no worries there.

The thing i like about it is that its one of the birth controls that get out of your system pretty fast if you change your mind about getting pregnant.
The pill takes the longest, then the patch and then the Ring.

Just a little more info for ya. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
