Interesting. I am glad to find out that there is someone else with these quetions. I would think that the prevalance of CF and celiac are more. There is some info but not alot. The funny thing is that celiac is very underdiagnosed and with Cf I bet that celiac is under the radar because all the problems with cf mask the gluten issue.
<br />Prior to being diagnosed with Cf the doctor told my mother that I have celiac and to put me on a gluten free diet. I seemed to do ok but once I was diagnosed with Cf (age 3) they figured that celiac was not an issue. Fast forward 35 years and I was having lots of bowel trouble and the celiac question reappeared. I tested for the gluten antibodies and went gluten free for almost a year now. I have had some improvement with my health. There is a genetic test now to tell 100% if you are celiac or wheat allergy or other. The company is prometheus labs, more info on celiac.org
