Hey,
I'm new to this board.
My fiance and I have been together for a year now. We are getting married next summer. We've always been very open with each other about CF and our feelings about it.
He was diagnosed with CF at 5 months old.
He's 21 now, and was recently diagnosed with Hodgekin's Lymphoma. It is contained in only one node so it is in stage one. He has never had a port put in or a g tube. The docs say they can administer all the chemo through his PICC. As of now, they don't think radiation will be necessary unless he doesn't respond to the chemo.
His CF docs and the oncologists are working together to make sure things go as smoothly as possible. They haven't had experience treating cancer and CF at the same time.
I was wondering if anyone on here has CF and has gone through chemo, or know someone who has. What were the most common problems? Did CF symptoms get worse? Anything else I should know?
Thanks, Erin.
