CF Services Pharmacy

You can order them straight from Source CF...they carry the soft gels, chewables and liquid in their online store. I think they are like $18, no prescription needed

I had pretty bad experiences with the CF Services pharmacy as well. They would often mess up orders, were slow to ship, charged a lot for shipping and somehow my copay with them was much higher than with other pharmacies. Their phone reps were also very rude and most of the time had no idea what I was talking about. I stopped using them after an incorrect shipment of Enzymes a few years ago, and started using Walgreens. Walgreens is awesome, they chose to specialize in CF care so they have carried every medication I've ever needed and even special-order items take only one extra day to get in stock. Because I reorder my enzymes frequently they always have them ready within 12 hours of calling in. The only medication I've ever had to get at another pharmacy was a compound pharmaceutical, only because they don't do those.

So... yeah. Bad experience with the CFS... but awesome with Walgreens. Also, I have a very hot pharmacist so it makes everything a little bit more fun. Hah.

Arent there different "divisions" of the CF Pharmacy? If so are those of you with problems dealing with the same location? Just curious. I have only dealth with them twice. Once with HS & most recently with Colistin. Neither one did I contact the pharmacy. My clinic handled it. I received a bill for my co pay on the HS & havent gotten my co pay bill for the Colistin yet. What I like about the colistin is that with my local pharmacy it was difficult to get it ordered & have the right syringes etc. From CF pharmacy it all came together as well as getting a pari neb cup. I tend to stick with my local pharmacy just because its local, but certain things are easier (so far) thru the CF pharmacy!

I agree their biling is a big problem! We order our PARI nebs from them because they are the cheapest anywhere!! $11 for the neb and $1 for Bubbles the Fish Mask, so we order like 6 at a time and with our insurance we pay upfront and then get reimbursed, so I usually don't have too many problems. We use Walgreens from everything else!

Becky, Mom to Nathan, 6, carrier and Hayley, almost 3 w/CF

We used to only get vitamins from them and their billing drove me nuts. I'd have it taken out of my credit card, but then they'd bill me, I'd finally give up after a few weeks and send a check. I'd end up with either a credit or additional charges. Several times I'd pay off the whole amount, only to get a bill for additional charges... Currently I have a $25 credit on my account.

With the Tobi Foundation, you have to use the CF services pharmacy and time and time again the customer service reps would flat out LIE to us. They would say the order had been sent and it wouldn't have been. Sometimes it'd be because the prescription needed to be renewed by our doctor, but they wouldn't bother to contact the doctor or us. Another time, they wouldn't send our order -- once it was ADEKs because it wasn't covered under insurance, so they weren't sure if we needed it or not. Err, I ordered it, obviously need it. Another time it was something similar with the $15 copay we had for Tobi. They weren't sure if we wanted it because.... A couple of times we had to delay starting Tobi because it hadn't arrived and then got reprimanded because we didn't contact them soon enough to reorder. We were just "silly enough" to believe when someone says an order has been sent, it's been sent. Grrr!

We wrote numerous letters and emails, filled out services about how frustrating it was dealing with their customer service reps who wouldn't return calls, would claim orders had been sent... Never got a response. In the real world, you place an order, you're notified that it's being sent with tracking numbers and it arrives. If something causes a delay or it's not available, you're notified. Not the case with the CF Service Pharmacy.

Hi, I have to order my hyp saline through cf serv pharm b/c I can't get it anywhere else. Everything else is through my local shoprite pharmacy...(pulmozyme, tobi, albuterol, ect..). I have had many problems with cf serv pharm too. My doc said they kinda notorious for having problems with. Once I ordered my hyp saline and they didn't fill it properly and I had to go 1.5 weeks without it. That wasn't good, esp since now that I'm preg, I have to rely on saline as my major inhaled med.
I don't know why there are so many problems with them. But, since that one problem, there hasn't been another. Maybe they flagged me as crazy cf lady who yelled at us, so don't annoy her! I don't know!

I've used them for a few years now. I actually like them.
I have about 20 rx's, and with their online system, it makes it easier for me to track and order. And since they ship to my door, that's another plus, not having to run the local pharmacy all the time.

They've also been a HUGE help in dealing with my state Insurance (GHPP). GHPP has a slow auth time, BUT CF pharm has gone the distance and supplied me with what I needed when asked, even though they don't have the auth yet (knowing they WILL get it eventually)

I can't say they are 100% - I've had a few problems, and it does seem that the problems have happened more of recent (are there changes going on over there?). But all in all - I'm thankful for all their help in getting me what I need, on time. (a regular pharmacy wouldn't give me something they hadn't received auth for, that's for sure!)

I haven't had billing problems only because my state insurance covers everything.
