Cipro Side Effect??

Hey,

Cipro can def cause joint pain. I used to take it very very often, and my knees started hurting so bad, I went to my GP to get it checked out... I didn't realize it could be related to the cipro! Anyway, I stopped the cipro and was fine. I've also been back on it since and been fine - I think for a while there I was just taking it too often.

As for nightmares, Levaquin can cause strange dreams/nightmares, and is in the same family as Cipro. It's a rare side effect but happens. I only had it happen to me when I was accidentally taking TWICE the amount of Levaquin I was supposed to be taking! Oops!

Yes, I've had terrible joint pain with Cipro, and when I can manage to sleep while taking it, I've often had weird dreams as well.

I definitely would check on it. My doctor let me take it in spite of the joint pain (because it gave me an oral option), but when I had a tendon issue associated with it, that was another thing all together.
