College bound

My son Dan is getting ready to go to college in a few weeks. He is living in a fraternity house and they gave him his own room. We have already been to the college pharmacy to make sure that they can get him all of his meds. Do you have any helpful hints to get him ready to go?

I don't have CF and my dd w/CF is too young to have been through this, but I am a professor. I'd encourage your son to make sure he registeres with the college office of disabilities (whatever it is called there) that way his professors will be made aware of exceptions he might need such as attendance policy issues, extensions, and whatever else he feels is necessary.

Thanks Heather, we have done that. Maybe we have covered all the bases, but I just feel like there is something I'm forgetting.

If he gets any meds delivered from the CF pharmacy, make sure you know what the delivery policies are in the house. For me (I'm just starting grad school) delivery of meds has been really helpful -- a timesaver. Good luck!
