Hmw, our dietitian at our accredited clinic told us to add butter and McDonald's fries if that tells you anything, so I wasn't "implying" but stating a true fact for my family.I would agree that certain things are universally recognized but sometimes some clinic throw that out the window, You are truly blessed to have a clinic that uses "healthy options"
Just making a point that it does affect some peoples bodies and there are a lot of options out there. It all depends on what article you read and who you talk to.
There are inexpensive ways to add things. I had to teach myself everything and I was able to figure out things that work when many factors that are common things such as milk and scandishakes and carnation shakes are all removed. I had to find a milk my child could drink and not get sick from because everything conventional but soy had whey in it,and the nutritionist was lost. Oh and we were not to give him soy either.. No one had answers and then he lost a few ounces and they threatened a feeding tube because they didn't have any answers, but what did they think they were going to pump in that feeding tube, more stuff he can't have so it became a life or death mission for me to figure this out, so I had to take a natural approach and a non conventional approach and it has shown to work tremendously well, and not just for my son but many others. I guess for my family we didn't have any other option but to spend the money on the food his body needed.
I remember when B was dx and all these issues came about and I searched for help and I could find no help with his specific issues, and even had many people seem to not understand the use of goat's milk in my sons diet. I then felt spit out by the very people I turned to for support, so now it is my mission in life to make sure people out there with a non conventional way of things, whether by choice or by no other options has information. I didn't expect everyone to agree with it and that is ok but I don't always agree with the "normal" way of things and that is ok.. we are all here to support each other and sometimes just question things. The mucus from milk is an up in the air topic and you feel one way and I feel the other way and I have articles of "theories" that suggest my opinion to be true just as you have articles of "theories" that suggest your opinion to be true. You have professionals that agree with you and I have professional that agree with me, it really could go on and on, but truth of the matter is there is no reason to attack each other when we are in the same game, just different positions on the field.
