Yet another question from Katie! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
My daughter is doing well and gaining lots of weight on pancreatic enzymes (5 granules with each feeding, up to 8 doses/day per the doctor). Do pancreatic enzymes always work for each CF individual? Are there cases where individuals have tried different manufacturers until they found a "brand" that worked? In addition, I keep reading recurring posts/articles regarding malabsorption...could this be more of an issue as my daughter ages? That is, she's doing well now, can I assume the enzymes will always work for her? FYI and fun fact for all...she poops 1 - 3 times daily...stools have always been loose/viscous-like and yellow/orange...gassiness has decreased significantly in past few weeks.
