I find this oddly amusing so I figured I would put it out there...
when I first had my arm port I had what looked like stitches migrating out, it wasnt until my CF nurse grabbed hold of one with a pair of tweezers we realised it was infact a stitch....I thought maybe this was just some freakish thing that happened...(i know the name says it all LOL)
When I had my hysterectomy I was cleaning my wounds like a wounded dog and noticed some odd bits of scab like blood, again I decided to grab hold of it with a pair of tweezers and pull, Yup you guess it, it was again internal stitches migrating out....
Now I am post op again (2 weeks) and once again my internal stitches are migrating out (little suckers just wont stay in there)
I have many piercings, and never rejected any of them, but I wonder what it is about these stitches that makes my body reject them....
I have asked the drs and nurses yadda yadda, but no one has ever seen nor heard of anyone before having the internal stitches migrate out..
oh and you'd be proud to know I havent yanked these last lot of migratory stitches LOL!!
Just curious though is this something unique to me? or has anyone else had migratory stitches? (internal ones)
