<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>She said it cannot be boiled nor can you put the parts in the dishwasher and to run distilled water over it and use distilled soapy water to clean and then rinse with sterile water. Once a week to soak in 70% isopropyl alcohol. </end quote></div>
During the Aztreonam study, the protocol was to boil all of the plastic parts for ten minutes, while the aerosol head was put in isoprpyl alcohol for the same amount of time. I followed what they told me to do and never hasd any problems, but during the study I was getting a whole new plastic set and metal head every other month (when I was on the drug). Now, I am not considered to be "in the study" anymore, its just an extension until the drug is approved, I dont get new pieces every month, and I still have NOT had any problems. As far as cleaning it every day, like LIGHTNLIFE said, that is supposed to be acceptable.
So now I have the eflow, and since I am not considered in the study, I guess I could do other meds with it, but like other people, I dont feel comfortable. I have also heard very conflicting reports of what drugs are safe and its not worth the risk to me.
