Epson Salt in bath?

My boyfriend mentioned taking a bath with Epson salt to fight the infection in my chest. I have pseudomonas chronic infection and I take Cipro every month but lately I have been feeling worse and more rundown.

Has anyone else tried this?

I use Epson Salts all the time for my kids bath. But I use it to prevent excess wrinkling (Aquagenic Palmer Wrinkling) of my kids hands and feet. It is cheap and it is made for the bath so I use a ton of it. My kids notice they hands and feet if I don't use it. I didn't even know it that it had a therapeutic use.

I didn't either. His sister actually mentioned it to him for me to try. When I googled it it mentioned helping somewhat with respiratory infection and now was curious, so I asked <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I use it for muscle aches and pains. But, maybe sitting in a hot bath with salt water steaming helps. Salt has great anti-inflammatory properties. That's why we wash our sinus' with it and why if we are cut and put that area in the ocean it heals quicker. I really do not not much else about it but, it works great for muscles.
