My son always refused and let him do that. He was a teen when we were both diagnosed. He told me bluntly that he would rather have the flu than the flu vaccine, so I let him have his way. I dutifully took mine the first 2 or 3 years after my diagnosis. But I was talking a lot to a woman who knew a lot about alternative medicine and she had strong negative opinions about vaccines and at some point I joined a list of people using biomedical approaches with their kids who have autism or related disorders. Between my son's strong opinion, my friend's strong opinion, and the compelling evidence that these folks on this particular list were seeing their kids get better, I began to question it too. At some point, I stopped taking it.
Instead, I do a lot to not bring germs home from work (and other places). If someone at work is clearly sick and I know I have been exposed, I come home and take all my clothes off, promptly soak them, promptly shower, irrigate my sinuses, and take some supplements to try to knock it out. We leave all our shoes by the front door (like the Japanese tradition) and do other things to prevent bringing germs into our home. With all the alternative stuff I do, I rarely have a bug for more than 12 hours. I often manage to not give my kids whatever I have picked up. It's not easy but it can be done.
Good luck with this.
