I left many replies on the other two threads. But in short answer to your questions:

I have never once regretted my port, even though the healing sucked for me. I haven't been on IVs since September 05, and I still don't regret. I love having it, it's fabulous. Even if I only used it once a year, I'd still love having it. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask, and I will try to check back. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Allie calls me the port queen. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">

I have had my port for a little more than a year and it sure has
made life so much easier.  When having to do IV"s the
port has provided a less stressful way of doing meds at home.
 My husband has learned how to flush mine-so once a month he
gets to take a "stab" at me :)
