Hmm...why do you wanna get drunk?!

I've been there, done that, no fun, really....

However, having enough to be slightly on the tipsy side does have its euphoria...
I'd go that far and keep a jar of insulin at hand...and/or something to snack on to help absorb the alcohol (thats why they always serve pretzels with beer...mmm...pretzels and beer

If I recal, the alcohol (or contents of) will raise your blood sugar.

However, the first rule of thumb is that no matter what the adults say, they know nothing and you'll just have to learn the hard way

Just be sure to have a designated driver! Cheers!

That is why I wished I had something like this in college or at least the beginning of college. I was terrified to even touch alcohol. I mean I am still not a huge drinker, but everyone has thier experiences.

I dont know about the CFRD thing, but I would say go slow at first. That way you can see how your body handles it. Good luck and have fun!

Alcohol can cause a lot of issues with diabetes in general. The sugars are difficult to metabolize & the affects on the liver can be daunting especially if meds etc already are hitting you hard.

Of course everything is in moderation is ok, but I have learned through trial, error & age that getting drunk isnt what its cracked up to be.

As I have gotten older the drinking really affects me harder.. I am tired for more days, dehydrated & just general feeling yucky. Now I am talking getting drunk not just having a drink tho the difference between the two depends on the person.

As to your actual ?? how much it affects CFRD varies just like with anything else. Some days it might affect more then others.....
