We have used it since 15 months after our son cultured and was treated for PA...our son is now almost 3. We like the TheraNaturals brand. There are 2 types of GSH, one for inhalation (buffered to be neutral pH) and the other for oral. I can't say enough about what it has done for him. Do your research and find the highest quality GSH/NAC you can.

The biggest improvement i saw right away was i finally started to have energy again. I finally felt almost the way i felt before i got cepacia. Cepacia dragged me down and made me feel like perpetual crap and tired all the time .

I also noticed i gained weight.... before the GSH i was 113 - 114 , but have held steady at 120-124 the past few years.

I also get sick less often, and when i do get sick, it is less severe.

Here is the link to the GSH i purchase............... I get it from IHERB.COM

I learned a lot from Diane when I first started too, since she had so many years of expereience with it. I asked her a bunch of questions. I get mine from the same place, iherb and take it orally.

The major factor that I noticed right away also was the increase in energy. It is incredible. I have a mycobacterium that has dragged my energy levels down and the GSH has brought it back up. I love it.

I've been trying to figure out why I've gained so much weight for the first time in my life (seriously), and have started to think it's b/c I'm getting older or something. But now that I've seen you Diane, mention that you connect the GSH to your weight gain, I wonder if that's why I am too. I don't know. My norm has always been around 100-102lbs, but for the first time ever I have reached 108-110lb. I've kept this amount of weight on for months now. One time in my life I weighed 108lb (after tons of exerice and protein shakes) but it only lasted 1 month and then I went back down to 101. These days, I'm not actually doing anything out of the ordinary and I keep telling my nutritionist that I'm not sure why I'm gaining and keeping this weight on, it seems weird. She of course thinks it's b/c of her guidance. lol.

Anyways, the research sure does show the benefit of using GSH as a way to supplement what GSH we naturally lack due to having CF. It's been good to me too.

I am THRILLED you are doing so well with it !!
GSH from what i have read helps with digestive issues and weight gain. I have read on the cf and gsh board time and time again about how many people ( almost all) who have tried it , have been able to decrease their enzymes. It is supposed to have benefits for the liver as well.

This confirms our observations as well with our son...you can see a major jump in weight on his chart from the point he started on GSH. It has climbed and stayed about the 70%. I thought is was GSH as well from what others reported and this makes it exciting to hear about adults with similar results even with varying issues. THanks for sharing your knowledge, all of you. Many children will be helped and hopefully have less struggles as a result :)
