I want to wish all of the amazing Mothers, Grandmothers, Godmothers, Mother-in-laws, Stepmothers, Aunts,Like a Mom & Moms to be (I think that covers everyone lol)  a very Happy Mothers Day !!
 It is not an easy job, but I wouldn't change it for the world.. And you Moms that have a child with CF, I am in awe of what you go through on a daily basis.. God Bless you all ..

I am glad to see that you are still on the boards. You were a great inspiration to me when I was first diagnosed at age 35. We communicated briefly through my pen name of Dx@35. 7 years later I am back on the boards. I was having difficulties coming to accept my diagnosis and disappeared for a while.

If I may ask, how have you been for the past seven years. (I am now on the boards as StillFighting).

I am glad to see that you are still on the boards. You were a great inspiration to me when I was first diagnosed at age 35. We communicated briefly through my pen name of Dx@35. 7 years later I am back on the boards. I was having difficulties coming to accept my diagnosis and disappeared for a while.

If I may ask, how have you been for the past seven years. (I am now on the boards as StillFighting).

Please excuse us Joni! Really pleased to hear from you again Dx@35, and extra pleased to learn you are still fighting the tough battle! I have been a lapsed supporter of this forum over recent years too. I don't respond as often as I would like too, but feel this board is like a magnet, it draws us in for support when we most need it! I feel like you, I need to reintroduce myself on littleDebbies thread. Will try and manage this over the next few days. Meanwhile, I can tell you I have had some difficult times too, [pretty much the norm for us Cférs]. However there is good news, I have been IV free for 18mths. I believe I can contribute this good fortune to a change in treatments, namely 7% hypertonic saline and starting on azithromycin last Sept. I am still competing in tennis and on a good day, I cycle up hill and down dale around the village! Will send you a msge, meanwhile a big welcome back. Cheers Eileen.

I am so glad to hear that you have been relatively well. That is amazing the fact that you have been IV free 18 months! I am also thrilled to see that you are still active! I am also still relatively well but am starting to have difficulties with walking briskly. Running is out of the question for me now..We take it one day at a time. How is your grandchildren doing?

As I am back on the boards, I am inspired to see that we are in fact living longer. Joni, I was stunned to see your age on the boards. This certainly gives me hope. Eileen, if you do not mind my asking, how old are you now?

Joni,

Thank you for the invitation! Unfortunately, I will not be on the boards tomorrow evening. As a matter of fact, I will be at a fund raising event being held tomorrow evening in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Wish me luck in raising funds and CF awareness!
