Keeping kosher is a giant pain in the you know what. Two dishwashers, 2 fridges, 2 sets of plates, 2 sets of pans, etc. Some people aren't *that* strict about it, and wash together, but my parents were hardcore about it. Then I starting dating Ry and was corrupted lol. You can have milk for breakfast, just not if you have meat. It's kind of confusing if you haven't had to do it. I don't anymore, only when I'm at home.

Well I always thought, thats a big problem and honestly I don´t understand why people do that...I prefer to use my time and money for nicer things<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">! And if you are "hardcore" can you ever go on vacation to other places than Israel? I do for example love to taste different foods, but if I would always have to ask first, whats in it,I don´t know, not much fun anymore?

I don't keep kosher anymore, so technically I can go anywhere, although I don't eat pork at all or seafood very often. Some Jews do it because there are laws written in the Torah about how to eat, what is clean and unclean, and some people choose to follow these rules nowadays. My parents traveled, it's fairly easy to not order something with meat in it to be on the safe side. I kept kosher for 21 years without really stressing about it.
