How do you shower with a port !

I am so glad I read this thread! I've always just washed my hair, armpits and nether regions in the bathtub while I'm accessed. It sucks, two-three weeks with no shower is just gross. I am definitely going to look into the aqua guards.

I too wash my hair first and then use Saran wrap taped at the edges to cover my port entirely. Usually the dressing covers it well but I just want to make sure. I use a hand held shower head, that way I can control where the water goes. That is also a plus in my case because of my trach, standing under a traditional shower would not be good! I can honestly say that this has worked like a charm for me. Everyone has given great advice with alot of alternatives to covering your port...I hope that something works for you!
