How do your lungs feel?

Thanks, everyone.

Yes, I vary my muscle groups and days in between. My DH actually has done personal training for people (and is very fitness savvy, I think... LOL) so I kinda follow a program he set up for me. Here is what I do every week now:

Sunday: Cardio and biceps and back

Tuesday: Cardio and triceps and chest

Thursday: Cardio and shoulders

Saturday: Cardio and legs

Sometimes I do have to do days back to back, but according to personal trainers, and what I've read, since I'm working different muscle groups every day, it doesn't matter. Most personal trainers will develop a M-F training plan that incorporates different muscle groups every day back to back (you wouldn't be able to hit each muscle group every week if you didn't). By doing that, you're still giving EACH muscle group an entire week to rest. Ya know? Make sense? <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

----------------------------------------------------------------

But, my initial ? was mostly about how your lungs feel when you add a day to your workout, or add weights, etc... I can tell I'm building muscle, so that's not really a concern. But, I'm mostly wondering about what ya'll experience as far as coughing more, chest soreness, coughing up more crap (and thicker), etc....

Anyone else have experiences with this to share?

Thanks again,

IHow goes the 02 monitoring?

take care, I have been varying my workouts too (and trying ot start runnig) and I woudl love to swap excercise routine regimens etc if you are interested!</end quote></div>

Nicole,

Good for you to start running! I LOVE the way it makes me feel!

Thanks for asking about the O2 sats! I actually stopped monitoring myself cause my monitor would be so off the wall when I ran (sometimes down to 78, which I KNOW I'd feel), so I'm convinced my monitor just doesn't do well on my finger when I run.

In the same respect I FINALLY am getting in to see a cardiologist in a couple of weeks. I will do an initial consult and then they will schedule a stress test on the treadmill to keep an eye on my heart. They said they dont' usually do O2 monitoring with stress tests, but can put it on my finger to check that as well. Either way, its a start and I'll have some hard evidence to bring to my CF clinic to look and see about oxygen. I'm willing to do what is best for my body.

So, I'll keep you posted!

PM me and we can certainly share exercise routines, etc... I kinda posted what I do on the message above, but we can get more in-depth in PM. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Hope all is well!

Sonia-I did not answer the rest because it isnot a problem for me. If I do cough stuff out it is always after the work out never during, I huff afterward on my drive in to work to get stuff loosened up. Do you have a peak flow you could monitor to make sure it is from teh extra workout and not an illness setting in?
