I do think a lot of CF coughing is related to sinus drainage and allergies. Though there are obvious other reasons. My cough during the day has decreased to almost nothing since I had sinus surgery a couple of years ago and got into a good sinus routine. Thanks for sharing....I'm always curious what other CFer's days are like.

I'm definitely a cougher. I cough throughout the day but I'm so used to it that I don't even notice unless I'm around people who don't know or if it's a quiet place. In nursing school before my classmates knew, I would try to hold it back and turn red. I just didn't want to distract them from the lecture. One student, before he knew did say that it was annoying. He even tried to suggest that I had Tuberculosis because that was the topic of the day. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif" border="0">

Nice classmate<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> I think the rudest thing anyone ever said to me was a bully in grade school. I was having a coughing fit in class and he turned around and asked me if I was going to cough up a lung. I was only in 6th grade so I was mortified....no one I grew up with knew I had CF.

I cough more some days than others... Today allergies were horrible... coughed more than I normally do plus i vacuumed.

I always cough when I should be quiet-- when people are sleeping, during prayer, when hubby is trying to think or read.
