I am SHOCKED that you locked Allie's message!!

I had no plans to post on that message because it had nothing to do with me, but would support Allie anyway she needed me.

You said "This would be better served through private messages". Why?? Allie choose to make that post public for one reason or another!

I have been told that I am a terrible mother, that I should not be on this site because I personally do not have CF, and many other terrible things by certain people on this site and these posts have NEVER been locked.

I guess I am confused as to when and why you decide to lock or delete a post?!?!?!

I have to agree. In Allie's post she said that the reason she posted on the forum was because he couldnt ignore it. I would assume she meant by deleting it or saying it wasnt received if done or already attempted by private messaging, emailing etc. I dont know for sure if it was a joke or not, but I didnt respond to it because of my personal feelings about some of his posts.

Another poster agreeing that the post should not have been locked.

Generally, when someone says they're posting it here so it can't be ignored... it means they HAVE tried other methods.

BTW guys, it was meant to be a silly joke between Allie and myself for the entertainment of the board, it wasn't real just a FYI. Allie and I are very tight. I'm a very nice guy. I/we wondered if the thread would be locked, and it was. Bill probably did the right thing because he of course didn't know it was a ruse. Anyways, back to stalking allie <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I would think it's a judgement call by Bill or the admin. They look at a thread, and if they see it as pointless or just a flamefest or drama fodder that is going nowhere or has the potential to go nowhere, it is probably locked.

I have strong feelings about this because of something that happened last year.

I responded to a post....my post was called

You can go to my profile and on the top is says "read posts" and find these posts.

I decided to respond to a post and show what it feels like to be a parent with a child just diagnosed with CF.

I WAS TORN APART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PEOPLE HAD REALLY HARSH THINGS TO SAY TO ME!

It took them 24 replys before they finally locked that post, and then no one put a stop to it. It went ON AND ON AND ON AND ON. I felt like I had to defend myself though!

I think there needs to be a better system than a few people choosing what can and can not be said.

I almost left this site completely after that, but decided I had a right to say how I felt, and no one was going to run me off!

I guess I still have some harsh feelings about this and when I see things being deleted and blocked I have to question why no one helped me when I needed it!

Okay......I am done venting........lol

This should have been posted in the *off topic* if it were a joke... Not everyone is going to be able to tell if it was meant to be funny or not...

Excuse me for either just not getting how it was suppose to be funny OR for just not having the right type of humour.......Sorry! Glad its a joke, but still dont get why/how its suppose to be funny! Dont try explaining because I guess its one of those things that you either get or dont! LOL!

I find it funny that all the people that made a smarta** remark or a rude remark on this post are all anonymous people.

I did not start this post for people who are to afraid to put their name to a comment.

Although I do not agree with everything SeanD might say, I value his opinions just as I expect others to listen to my opinion.

I have nothing but respect for Allie. I consider her a friend, and someone to look up to.

I think it is HORRIBLE that someone would write that they just want attention. The whole purpose of this site is to have others listen to us, listen to others, and feel that we have enough in common that we can share our feeling!!!!!!!!
