There are pleanty of things that are "off topic" but still RELATE to CF in one way or another, or makes a difference to us/someone because CF is a factor, OR some REAL LIFE issue that someone might want to share and be supported..

I have to agree with what Christian said. I don't mind seeing some off topic things that are Intriguing, stray a bit from CF but might be a common ground for some other members of the forums and/or cause some laughs once in a while. But it seems more and more (especially since the blogs came along) that either nothing is talked about on this ADULT forum, or EVERYTHING is talked about -everything meaning many things that DO NOT belong on this topic.

I'm really disgusted that adults would find something like that appropriate to do-to test the moderators. I have a sense of humor, a good one, I have to with my husband, but I don't get that one and neither does he.

And where is Allie in all of this? I've been the blunt of some bad posts/situations on this site but I would NEVER disappear and refrain from explaining what happened, even if it is repetative to what someone else has already said and even if I was wrong. Really makes me wonder about the integrity of some people on this site and their purpose for being on these forums.

You have the right to question anyone and anything you like. But Allie is about the last person I'd question here. Answer to your question is very simple. She's ashamed!!!! She feels terrible and stupid for having upset and worried everyone. So she's kind of shying away from talking about it. With all the fuss over it, I can't say I blame her.

Everybody really likes Allie here Emily there is NO denying that. People make stupid mistakes. I have, my friends have, you probably have too. Allie is human. She will have to face it sometime, really can't just ignore it and hope that it goes away.
It's great that you stand up for her, but by standing up for her and facing this for her you're not allowing her to fight her own fight. Even if she asks you too. It's a joke gone wrong, we get it but by not saying anything on this topic 'it was wrong, I'm ashamed, I'm sorry, etc' it's just fuel to the fire. Probably would have been over soon enough if both parties had come on here and said 'it was a stupid late night induced prank, I apologize.'
Now I've agreed with a lot of what you've said over the years.
I've agreed with what Allie's said over the time that she's been here.
I've agreed with what Julie's said over the years.
You are a BUNCH of GREAT people and quite honestly I do NOT want to HAVE to be divided by what's been going on lately with the boards.
But you can't all be right, and you can't all be wrong. So there's got to be some sort of compromise here.

I think what Seana's point was that she wasn't sure in general how its decided that a post is locked or deleted. Not this one in particular, although it did fuel her question.

Seeing that this post just continues to go on and on is just ridiculous, and for those that are close with Allie and check out her blog she has posted about it in there. For anyone that knows Allie as Emily has stated she is one of the most loving and caring people that I have met on this site. Yes with all the fuss I certainly would be staying away instead of keeping it going. Its funny that there joke post was blocked after about 2 entries and this one just keeps going and going.

Actually, I thought the post was more for the sake of humor, but thought it would be better understood if it waited til April 1st!!
As fo this post, the major point is in regards to how locking posts is decided.
I thought the two methods was the administrators judgement and/or registered users using the "Report this to a Moderator" function.

I didn't exactly get the joke, but find how interesting the result turned out. Probably not at all as the two planned, but has become entertaining drama, as this forum had seemed to lack in the past few days (at least!).

That gave me a little chuckle Christian. I have a friend who loves the Golden Girls for ONLY the opening song. They get excited then once the opening is done they change the channel lol.

It has been interesting from a clique dynamic and sociology perspective. Allie has nothing to be ashamed of, neither do I. Everyone with a frontal lobe has known Allie and myself have poked fun at each other from time to time and goofed off. I'm really starting to question some peoples reading comprehension to be honest. I explained fully what took place, and the reasons behind it, and that due to it being locked, it didn't turn out how we intended. Dislike the act all you want, but atleast understand why/how it took place. I've stated atleast twice, indepth, that it's purpose wasn't to test the mod. Do I need to whip out a 40 foot tall light bright and start plugging in lit pegs to spell it out again? I seriously think some of you guys need to get out more if this has you "Up in arms". By the way, for those whining about off topic CF posts being on here and how much they can't stand them, especially the "up in arms" drama based ones. You guys surely made your point with regards to what you prefer to consume with your eyes, with nearly 1000 views of just this thread alone. And i'm pretty close to postive people didn't just open it to see what it is, then not come back to it. I've also noticed the demographic most represented in this thread appears to be women. Girls, there are much better ways to spend your time drama consumption wise with TV.

I'm not mad at Allie at all, Nor am I mad at Sean for anything. I have just been waiting to hear from allie in all of this. Not because I think she should be ashamed or anything (hey, we all do things we regret or that others don't like/don't agree with-been there done that 100000x over) but I think it might help if allie comes on and says something about it-that's all.

I've just been expecting Allie to come on here but I also understand why she hasn't. Kind of a double negative...

See if it was *I* who did the post, about allie stalking me, it would have been as believeable as Jesus coming back to only play Hitler in a game of chess. I think we even toyed with that idea (having Jesus and Hitler involved with my stalking behavior in some way), because we were buzzed/drunk and were laughing quite heartily. Though I could never figure out what to dress Hitler in to make his role humorous...I mean come on guys, it's HITLER! Put a fluffy bunny tail on Hitler, and it's STILL hitler!

Since you were using my quote for your post, I would like to clarify something:
I certainly didn't point fingers at anyone, nor am I offering any such opinion of dislike. (In the interpretation that it was me you were directing this to.)
Whatever the reasons, I am aware it was a joke, perhaps a bit of a backfire depending on who's point of view, but my opinion was that it certainly became a "hot subject". (another opinion of mine which cannot be beat)
As for the BS, mine left after my divorce...(I was never much of a BS'r, anyway!)
