Anyone can buy it, but just a precaution that those on Medicaid or other State Insurance will not be able to keep the $$. It will be considered income/assett. This is the only time it affects health insurance of any kind & it does not have to be reported on taxes.

Mel, We have two insurances-are primary (which we pay for) and children's special health care which we pay for as well for Rickie. Would that count as state insurance since we pay for it?

It does not affect SSDI because that is based on work history where SSI is on income. Have no fears my dear! I am on SSDI & was on it when I got the policy & have collected many times.
