Sue,
Hang on, you'll get through this<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Good control will help everything out for you including your lungs. You will notice a difference in your energy level too. I usually feel very little when I do a shot. Not a big deal. You pinch a "fatty" area and just do a little prick. After about 8 years on shots, I went to an insuling pump. I never wanted to try it, after starting it, I wished I'd done it years and years ago. Your blood sugars stay even the majority of the day and you can adjust easily when you are on something like prednisone. Might be something you consider down the road. All my best!
