Thanks Maksnana: I will take something if I have to but I like to cope with as much as I can before I take anything. I thank you for your empathy. This stress is comparibly not so bad. I imagine myself on a beach in the warm sun or listening to harp music as I paint . Creative imagery is so wonderful if you can really get into it. I gave up on the bi pap for the moment. i will soon try again til I get it right. I have had a nice break.

Update on the bypap. i have truly gotten used to it and use it every afternoon to get my CO2 levels down so I will feel better in the evening. I also sleep with and do in fact feel better during the day. I have no plans for a transplant but do want to optimize my quality days. So be it.
Thanks for your support guys. I really appreciate it.

I do not have CF, (found that out 10 years after being dx with it) however, I do have pretty severe lung condition. When I am at my worst, like now, I am on Bi Pap. I have to say, I like it, it gives my chest muscles a break. I only put it on when my body is so tired from heaving and trying to breath. SOmetimes I wish I could bump up the settings on it myself to get better pressures.

It is hard to get used to sleeping with at night but I do feel better and my chest feels better on it.

Good luck

I use one. At first, the chin strap was unbearable... it kept cutting my chin. Mine was weird. And as strange as this sounds, I put duct-tape around it and it made wearing the strap a lot more comfortable.

My only problem right now with it is the fact that the straps that go around my head irritate my skin.
