hopefully his sugars get under control. i lost almost 20 pounds this summer, but have sinced gained most of it back ever since i started on insulin.

Is there an endocrinologist that he can consult with? They will be able to specifically help w/ the diabetes-although CFRD is a slightly different animal. I have CFRD and am currently on an insulin pump w/ humalog. Someone mentioned previously that stress, illness all play havoc w/ sugars. As well, if they have put him on any steroids that blows my sugars out of the water as well (ie if I am on Prednisone it is not unusual for me to run in the 400's w/out eating anything). Sometimes it is tough to keep asking questions, but that is so important-ask, ask, ask until someone is able to help you make sense of what is going on. We will continue to be praying for you guys.

I am definatly asking about the seroids because his sugars are barely going below 300 even when he hasn't eaten in a while.
