L-Lysine

I have been on L-Lysine ( 4000 mg per day) for about a year now but not for any other reason than its ability to help control hemoptysis. I have never heard of it having ANY connection to glutathione. In fact i am also on oral glutathione 1500 mg per day. I have heard of NAC helping the body produce glutathione, but not L-Lysine, i would be interested to see that article....where did you read that? Well anyway..... like another poster said , why not just take Glutathione itself ?

To be honest, I had no idea that Glutathione could be taken as a pill. I was told that you could only take pre-cursors to gluathione to encourage your body to make it.

where does everyone get their glutatione supplements?

I take L-Lysine but for cold sores and for skin. I told my CF doctor and he said it is a natural amino acid and said it was fine to take. I take only 500mg, maybe 1-3 times a week. IT totally keeps cold sores at bay and if you do get one it helps make them go away alot more quickly. SInce taking it on a more regular basis I have not had a cold sore in a REALLY long time!!!!!
