@JennifersHope This is exactly what I have been struggling with. Have you had good response w/ the corteff? Does it have the same nasty side effects of the prednisone? Any insight or suggestions you have would be much appreciated. This has kind of come out of "left-field" and has made for any interesting month!

The Corteff has a better result for me then the Prednisone.... Honestly, you need 30 mgs of COrteff a day as a replacement dose.. I take 20 mgs in the morning and 10 in the afternoon...When we are sick, with fever or infection you need something called a stress dose of steroids.. and I always have to double or triple my steorids..

Most doctors are not really up to date on the adrenal glands, most dont know that Prednisone and Corteff are not equal in mgs..

I was so sick when I needed steroids and didnt have them, honestly I almost died.. Don't stop taking the prednisone but ask your doctor to send you to an endocrinologist. It does not matter how you got there, right now you have adrenal insufficiency and you need to be treated as it.

Please take care of yourself...and make sure the doctors treat you, it is very serious if you dont have enough steroids in your body... If I can help anymore, please let me know..
