Hi!
Well, I'm not exactly sure when, but soon, I'm getting my PEG out and getting a button. The doctors are all talking about the Mic-Key button...which seems great (any button is better than the PEG!), but it looks bulky. I've been reading about it online, and Ive seeing that people are saying that it is bulky. I plan on going to the beach and I was originally told that I could just put a bandaid over it if I wanted to hide it..but it seems too big for that!
I've been hearing about these Bard Buttons that lay pretty flat. Is there a reason that they have been always talking about the Mic-Key and not the Bard Button? Which is better?
Okay, and this is a rather silly and random question I'm sure...When I go in to get my PEG out..what do they do? I was reading a blog about a lady who's baby had a gtube..and to remove it the doctor literally PULLED it out. They won't do that will they? I don't think I could let them. I dont think my PEG has a balloon....is yanking it out the only option? May I be asleep? haha.
I tell you, I worry about the weirdest things. I wasn't nervous about getting the tube at first..the surgery seemed fine with me, however I was freaking out because of the anesthesia..that scared me more than anything.
Oh my, okay..its 2 in the morning and I am clearly rambling.
Thanks in advance!
