Music soothes the savage CF

I have said many times that I love music. Just about any type. I play it, sing it, dance to it, listen and just love it. I helps me cry when I need to, it helps me get upbeat if I need.

What I do notice whether I cry or laugh while listening is the calming affect it has on me & how I feel a difference throughout my whole body. Of course the sicker I am the longer it takes or the harder it is to achieve the ultimate sensation, but it still happens.

The last few days I have had some problems & this morning while kicking ass on my treatments I was listening to the playlist on my blog. It just made things feel better. I sang along with Tina Turner and didnt miss a beat.

After my treatment I continued to listen while I puttered around the house. I was not short of breath while doing some basic things that have been a real task lately. Maybe I am distracted by the music or maybe it actually does something!

I am curious how much music affects others....

EDITED TO ADD FOR ADULTS (LOL):
It also helps in the romance department. Just now I listened to "our song" on my playlist & wanted to go jump my husbands bones. Havent ruled that out yet since Jazz is at my sisters house, but that is probably TMI! HAHAHA

I have always thought this about music Melissa. I looooove to listen to music, even when I was in college doing school work. It helps things to pass by quicker, and its soooo soothing sometimes.

My favorite most recently has been country music. I was NEVER a country fan, HATED it all my life...till my roomies junior yr in college left a Brad Paisley CD in the cd player in the living room...i would sit there doing homework and listening to it. Anyway...I just love how it tells stories and you can really feel like someone understands. That there is someone out there who knows whats going and can relate to you (not necessarily with CF, but other life stories).

I also will listen to just about any kind of music. Its nice to be able to just sit and listen, not have to worry. It takes your mind off of things and you are able to just do nothing sort of. I hope that makes sense.

Music soothes the soul. I love music and dancing.
It is wonderful for the mind and body. I think it has something to do with crossing over right and left hemispheres of the brain. I will look it up.
