Always sterile...I boil tap water for 20 minutes and keep it in a designated cup with a lid, then fridge.
I read two things over the past few weeks, maybe you guys know about, but the articles were about sterile water and not to use after 24 hours of sterilizing/storing because it "goes bad", also some Distilled water was bad and some people contracted B. Cepacia from the "bad distilled water".
I worked in a major hospital laboratory several years ago, on the night shift bored to tears, a co-worker & I decided to spec the tap water under the microscope......OMG, I have not had tap water since! Except for brushing my teeth...Creepy-Crawly...
