One more question about Creon

I'm sorry....I meant to post ADEK...the water soluable version of the fat soluable vitamins. In other words, a specialty vitamin where ADEK are water soluable.

Therefore, you wouldn't have to worry about fat absorption when it came to vitamin absorption.

I take aquADEK's and about in 2007 my mom and I were arguing b/c she wanted me to take an enzyme with abx, and I told her there was no reason so we asked my doctor and she said, abx are digested differently so no enzymes w/ those, but did bring up that, yes, you should should w/ vitamins. She said it is best to take them with a meal with enzymes (obviously) b/c they are fat soluable. Otherwise, if I take them separately, I take just one enzyme w/ all my vitamins (I take Ultrase MT 20's or Zen Pen now though).

Another example of when to take an enzyme is maranol, the marjuina derived appetite stimulant, is in sesame oil or something like that, so when I was trying that, I had to take an enzyme with it and was told directly by my doctors that.

AquADEKS and Source CF vitamins have been formulated for individuals with malabsorption issues. In theory, CF individuals can absorb vitamins like any other individual, however, they cannot break them (i.e., fat-soluble vits ADEK) down into absorbable form if they are pancreatic insufficient. If you aren't taking a specifically CF-formulated vitamin like the above, then you should take enzymes with each dose. Logically, it doesn't make sense to take enzymes for specifically formulated malabsorption-related vitamins....

Another point, taking any vitamin on an empty stomach can cause stomach upset. Food also helps in the overall absorption of vitamins...either way, you'll have enzymes on board for your meal! I would leave it at taking vitamins with food which is accompanied by enzymes, either way.
