Oral ABX

I have b cep and pseudo too. usually docs want you to do 2 abx at once bc they are concerned about resistance issues in the future if they only do one at a time. i don't think oral abx are necessarily preferred over iv-its considering what bugs you are fighting at the time, your current lifestyle issues, and how bad your pfts look. when i was preg, i did 4 weeks of oral ceftin and zithromax. but that was mostly bc we wanted to avoid ivs at all costs being preg. it worked really well too.
i just did 3 weeks of iv ceftin and zosyn-that was also very effective.
wanted to add-
after stopping ivs this time around, my pfts weren't quite up to what we wanted them. i started at fev1 55 and got to 68...we wanted to be around 73-75. but doc felt ivs had done all they would for now. so now i'm doing a few weeks of tobi and zithromax 3x a week.
i'd shoot for an inhaled abx. try to tolerate it best you can, even if its uncomfortable for the few weeks you're on it.

I tried advair once before and didn't like it because my heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chest.

I would be willing to try it again, but while I am sick I am hesitant to do so.
