If it's causing you so much pain that you can't do activities you normally CAN do (like cooking, cleaning, getting dressed), then I say definitely get more aggressive with your docs about diagnosing and treating whatever it is that's causing you this much pain. It's obviously not going away on it's own and it doesn't sound like your docs are taking this issue as seriously as they should be. You should NOT have to have Brian help you get dressed - I'm sorry, that's just too much pain to have a "wait it out" approach. Please demand an MRI at the very least - and do let us know what you find out (or PM me if you want - I really want to know how this turns out). Good luck, Jessi. I'm sorry you're having to deal with this.

Just a thought - is it at all possible that this might be a lung issue??

I'm in way more pain from muscle soreness from working out than I ever have been from the back/neck issue. Brian had to help me get dressed because my pecs and shoulder muscles are so sore I can't lift my arms. But I am leaning toward getting that MRI. My doc took x-rays but they were normal.

I don't think this is a lung thing. I'm pretty in tune with my body and have gotten pretty good at diagnosing myself (which I know docs hate, but whatever). I've also unjured myself playing sports more times than I can count, and it feels like an injury. I got minor whip lash in a car accident years ago. The physical therapist says neck problems like mine are pretty common even years after an accident.

This sounds like what Mel had a while ago. She hurt so bad that Jazzy had to help her get dresssed. She had to go to physical therapy...hope she sees this! And hope it gets better for you, hate that you are hurting so much!
