Pari Nebulizers

I use the Pari Proneb Ultra compressor and Pari LC plus cups for Tobi. I just started with the Tobi a week ago after I got a pseudomonas infection. I don't have much recent experience with nebs, but compared to my 1980's version and 1990's versions, I like the Pari. I sterilize the cups by boiling...of course, you have to be careful and not forget what you're doing...I boiled mine dry and melted it last night. Luckily I have a backup.

better watch that boiling water!!

So where do you guys get your cup refills from? Do you order them from Pari or do you get them from the doctor? Our doc supplied our cups with our last nebulizer so this will be new to us.

What do you mean by filter? About where is that located in the machine (I've seen pictures and such)?

Thanks everyone

You can either buy your cups through a med supply place in your town (with an rx) or online without an rx. I like bleach for disinfecting but you can also use hydrogen peroxide.

Julie,

We also have the Pari Proneb compressor and use the Pari LC Nebulizers. We clean them by washing them with hot soapy water and then boiling for 10 minutes. We do it after every use, 3 times a day. I like the Pari compressor, we have 2.

Just so everyone knows I recently have been researching the prices on the Pari LC Nebulizers because I like to change them a little more often than every 6 months. We currently get ours through Apria home health care, but they are being snotty and rude when I ask for more than one every 6 months, so I went looking for somewhere else to buy them. The absolute cheapest I found was actually the CF Services Pharmacy. I know everyone has had problems with them, but I haven't yet. My daughter has been getting her Creon 5 and Vitamax through them through the Wee Care program for the last two years.

Anyway, they are only $11 at CF Services Pharmacy!!! Apria charges my insurance company $39!!! THat's a big difference! I checked on the PARI website (www.pari.com) and they charge about $39 too. SO just wanted to share since it seems everyone is using the Pari LC Neb that they are CHEAP at CF Pharmacy Services. The only thing is that they require a prescription for everything (as do a lot of the online stores you can buy them at) so you will have to have your clinic call in a prescription or fax one it, but for me it is worth it for the saving!
