Julie,
We also have the Pari Proneb compressor and use the Pari LC Nebulizers. We clean them by washing them with hot soapy water and then boiling for 10 minutes. We do it after every use, 3 times a day. I like the Pari compressor, we have 2.
Just so everyone knows I recently have been researching the prices on the Pari LC Nebulizers because I like to change them a little more often than every 6 months. We currently get ours through Apria home health care, but they are being snotty and rude when I ask for more than one every 6 months, so I went looking for somewhere else to buy them. The absolute cheapest I found was actually the CF Services Pharmacy. I know everyone has had problems with them, but I haven't yet. My daughter has been getting her Creon 5 and Vitamax through them through the Wee Care program for the last two years.
Anyway, they are only $11 at CF Services Pharmacy!!! Apria charges my insurance company $39!!! THat's a big difference! I checked on the PARI website (www.pari.com) and they charge about $39 too. SO just wanted to share since it seems everyone is using the Pari LC Neb that they are CHEAP at CF Pharmacy Services. The only thing is that they require a prescription for everything (as do a lot of the online stores you can buy them at) so you will have to have your clinic call in a prescription or fax one it, but for me it is worth it for the saving!
