Pari Nebulizers

Does anyone else have any of the Pari brand nebulizers? Mark has the little travel pack one that's pretty small and operates on it's own battery. He likes that one a lot and it's great for travel.

his "Home" nebulizer that sits stationary has died and we can't find the makers anymore (it's old, like 80's old). I am going to look around at their website, but I was hoping to get some personal experiences/feedback from those who have the Pari nebs. (whatever version, doesn't matter to me) and how well you like them, if you have more than one version, which would you recommend....

Any feedback would be hopeful, we have a doctors appointment tomorrow and am hoping to ask the doctor to order one, but want to make sure we get one that has great reviews.

I have a Pari one- it is the one i use all the time. It is small, like the size of a....book? A fat book? I cant think of any other comparison sorry. Its good and fine and works for me. I guess I dont know how they could really differ??

I have the Pari Pro Neb .. I plug it in with an adaptor for my car....it is small and had its own case. It works okay but my favorite one is the Devilbliss Pumo Aide.. that is the one approved to do Tobi with....It is not real expensive and it works great...and is faster then the Proneb...

Also as a side note... I did a ton of research getting the nebulizer for my car.. It plugs in like a regular plug..but I have an adaptor.. I am very much into playing by the rules when it comes to nebbing my meds....and with Tobi... it was studied with the particular Devbliss nebulizer HOWEVER upon research.. I found the Pari Pro Neb breaks down the medicine to the exact same molecular level as the PulmAIde.....

How do you guys clean it? Does it have disposable neb cups or do you re-use them? Mark and I get disposable ones for his machine right now, but since we just transfered up here to Washington I want to know what machine we are going to purchase before I look into the Neb. cups.
We use to just throw ours away, but I have heard of people cleaning it with vinegar, boiling it, dishwasher.... Is there an "approved" or most recommended method? I know every CF clinic varies with their advice on the matter. Anyone recieved feedback or asked PARI themselves how they recommend cleanin it (or does it come in some insturctions?)

Sorry I've never had to worry about a nebulizer before....

We have a pari proneb and use pari neb cups, which I love 'cuz they can be used for up to 6 months and to clean them I just boil them once a day. We started off with a pari proneb for our daily nebulizer and tobi took us 35-40 minutes! And then a relative gave us a Devillbiss Pulmoaid that their daughter used when she had asthma attacks -- it's a 10 year old machine that we keep at the inlaws house -- the Tobi only took 20-25 minutes with a pari neb cup. So I purchased a Devillbiss Pulmoaid for our daily machine and kept the pari for vacations and over night trips.

I used to use the pari pro neb ultra and then it died, it lasted about 2 years and my home healthcare company gave me their version of the proneb ultra and I use the pari mouth pieces, seems to work the same. They said it was the same just different brand, kinda like Coke and Pespsi she said! I just ordered it thru the home health care company that I use for all my home IV's etc. So, try a company that is covered by your insurance and see if they have the compressor. GOOD LUCK
