Seanna, no one said you were leaving, and no one said you wanted to ban Amy, it was the origional poster of the thread asking a question. It is the same old, same old "should Amy be banned" thing. No we are all capable of handling her, we just need to blow sometimes--does't mean you want her banned. You took care of it. That should be the end of story.

You know what the ironic thing is about this whole thing. All the complaints about Amy. All the attacks and I would bet my house that she would rise above it all and not hold a grudge. She would continue to speak with people. As a matter of fact I witnessed it yesterday with someone that there was a spat with. I have absolutely nothing to do with this battle, but I am bored so I will chime in. First of all...it is not that hard to work full time with CF. I work at minimum 50 hours per week and before I get the "I am healthier comment" my PFT's absolutely suck. I chose to work because it fulfills me; it keeps my mind busy and me active. As for the baccalaureate comment, that is true too. Unfortunately it doesn't stop there. The devaluing of education has gotten increasingly worse over the last 15 years. I can tell you 4 people I know right now that have MBA's that can not find a job commiserate of that education. That is just the world we live in folks. I even have a guy with a BS doing customer service work at one my locations....BS, MBA's, we are all just a dime a dozen. Now to address the main issue...I do not "chat" but hearing many of your comments almost makes me wish I would. Rather than banning or running you need to stand up for what you believe in. I have said it before that no one on this board has ever challenged me or pissed me off more than Allen. That cat was smart; his comments made me think and rethink my stance on things and more importantly helped me reaffirm my own beliefs. I challenged him because he challenged me. I guess what I am saying here is maybe Amy is just looking for someone to challenge her back. I don't think that she is smarter than any of you, she probably just thinks she is. There is one way to make her back down and that is proving her wrong.

You know the best way to stop a bully is to hit him with a shovel (trust me I know this!)

Kind of like Amy. Thats what she does. She calls it like *she* sees it. If people don't like it don't pay attention. I use Amy's POV; which is not always mine; to make me think.

And as an adult with CF although sometimes Amy could use a little more care with what she says when parents ask for help. She understands how it is to be the child with CF; she understands how it feels.

Maybe just maybe people are upset to see that someone with a disease such as CF who isn't always happy and smiling when it comes to giving facts out? I think it would be wrong to ban her because she has an "abrasive" personality to some. All veiw points should be valued equally; I think. I'm not into censorship. If you don't like it turn it off...don't pay attention...block her...but is it fair to just shut her out because she is different? Just b/c she isn't as tactful when it comes to certain issues?

But it's not my site. Unless we are asked for a vote my opinion might not mean much...just thought I'd throw it out there...



PS~ If you want to jump on me for my opinion send it to me personallly as I'm going in for a tune up tomorrow and have more important things to worry about than "Big Bad Amy"...
Oh and let me add that I will NOT be judging anyone who posted an opinion differing than mine. Even those who who just plain rude. Life is too short (Not just for those of us with CF but those of us fighting it from another position may it be mother; daughter; father; sister; ect...don't waste your precious time.
