I joined this site a while ago but have not started posting until recently.
However, it seems that everytime I reply to a thread it dies.
So I finally got up enough nerve (and time) to start my own.
A little about myself:
I am a 36/f w/cf. I have a 6 year old son w/o cf. I was dx at 30 right after having my son. I have a twin brother who was diagnosed and they suggested that I also be tested. I was pregnant at the time so after I had my son I was tested and dx.
I have a relatively mild case (fev1 is 62 and pulse-ox 96%) and haven't been compliant until recently (very recently, Thursday, as a matter of fact). My son made the comment that it scares him when I start coughing and he is afraid I am going to die. I decided to start doing whatever it takes to ensure that I am around to see him grow up, graduate from college, etc.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and thank everyone for the wonderful information in the forums. I think that my visits to this site have helped me to make the decision to start taking better care of my health.
