I've been visiting my baby niece, who's 3 months old. Today is the fourth day and this afternoon was the first time in a long time that I started to feel a sinus infection coming on. I'm so bummed! I feel congestion starting in my sinuses.
I asked my doc before coming out here if it was okay for me and for the baby to be around eachother and they said as long as I am not sick and the baby is not sick, then everyone should be fine.
Where I am the weather is much more dry then what I'm used to. I have no idea if that's why. I took airborne this afternoon and now tonight to try and ward off these germs or whatever this is. I don't want to think it's the baby since she's so young and hasn't shown any signs of being sick yet.
Anyways, do any of you have any tricks in the first couple of days when you feel a sinus infection coming on? I'm trying to stay open minded and wonder if there's something you guys might be able to offer for suggestions. Usually it's a 50/50 chance with me, of getting rid of it vs it going to my chest and ending up in the hospital for a tune up. I really don't want to deal with that right now.
Also if I wake up tomorrow morning and still feel this congestion, should I leave right away to help prevent my niece from getting sick? This is my first time really being around an infant.
Comments welcome. Thanks.
