He's not a carrier according to this test!!! I'm so FREAKING RELIEVED!!! He is going to bring the report home tomorrow so I can look at it. Hopefully I paid enough attention in biology to understand it. If not I'll take it to the CF clinic next time I go. He says the doc told him that they tested for all known mutations, we'll see. Brian knew that there are roughly 1400 known mutations, which I don't remember telling him, or even if I did he probably wouldn't have remembered anyway. I guess I will be making an appointment with the high risk OB-GYN at the UW soon! I want to do a clean out before we start trying, and I have an old surgery scar on my tummy that might cause problems being preggers so I want to talk about everything! She is supposed to be a really good doc and has gotten all of her CF mommies to at least 35 weeks. I'm so happy!

Congrats on the results!!! I'm so happy for you two! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Such a relief to finally know the answer!

Can u let me know what your OB says about the scar on your tummy and getting preggers? I have wondered that myself and it has been a topic up here. I would really love to know the answer since I have a scar as well. Thx.

When you had to have surgery did they have any reason for going into your uterus???? If not, i just can't imagine that the scar would interfere. Of course you should still talk to your doc about it but i thought i'd let you both know that it shouldn't cause any problems unless they went into your uterus (which i doubt they would without a reason).

Anyway Congrats and good luck!

Congrats!! I know that is a huge weight off your shoulders. Doing everything you can to optimize your health before pregnancy is a great decision. I made sure to have xrays done before I got pregnant so doctors wouldn't push for it while I was pregnant. It's linked with low birth weight. Sending you baby dust since I I'm done with it :) Let me know if you have questions and feel free to PM me.

What is your FEV1?

That is great and I mean Great news.... I am so happy for you guys... I wouldn't worry about the tummy scar at all, any women who has had a C section has one and as you know, women continue to go on and have more children after that.

Best of luck to you in your adventure...

Sending thoughts and prayers for a smooth and easy pregnacy...
