We are still waiting for the results of Josh's recent tests so they can determine best treatment. Its been a month since he had the first blood test. SO frustrating.

Jane-Years ago I found the refrigerated probiotics at my health food store are much more effective than the shelf stable probiotics. I know many who swear by the other stuff like you posted but I've just never found them to be as active.

I also just had a discussion with the owner of our local health food store because I was trying to figure out what to get for my 3 year old since she has been on abx for an ear infection a few times and I dont know if breastfeeding could have helped transfer yeast to her. He said he is leary of anything with sugar and that shelf stable is less desirable.

Of course the refrigerated ones are the better brands and more expensive. I buy an enteric coated (so it dissolves in the right spot to release the bacteria) 12 strain probiotic and get 100 capsules for $38.
